New Generations Service Exchange

New Generations Service Exchange is a short-term, customizable program for university students and professionals up to age 30.  Participants can design exchanges that combine their professional goals with a humanitarian project.  Are you interested?

The Rotary Inter-Countries Committee (ICC) USA-Spain was chartered in 2017. It is in a network of over 250 ICCs that are active in Europe, Africa, Asia, North and South America. One of the goals of every ICC is to foster international friendship and peace through cultural exchange. During the 2023-24 Rotary Year, the ICC USA-SPAIN has selected New Generations Service Exchange as its area of focus. The five member Districts in the USA including District 5500 and the three Districts of Spain are working together to create meaningful, short-term service exchanges for qualified participants 18-30 years of age.

We need your help in District 5500 and are asking every Rotary Club to consider matching members’ skills and passions with professionals from different cultures.  These steps can help you get started:

  1. Organize a group of interested Rotary members in your club,
  2. Determine what skills, interests, and networks your group can offer to create a meaningful exchange,
  3. Ask young professionals (e.g., Rotaract members, University students and Interns) what type of service could improve their professional skills, and
  4. Decide on your goals for the program.
  5. Please help us with your thoughts, comments and active participation
