The 2023 Rotary District 5500 Conference of Clubs will feature multiple in-person breakout and plenary sessions that deliver exciting ideas and roundtables on Club Service Projects, Fundraising, Member Engagement, Empowering Girls and much more! Our impressive line-up of Keynote Speakers includes Erin Gruwell, author of "The Freedom Writers Diary," national poverty and child welfare expert and advocate, David Ambroz; innovative educator and memory training expert, Scott Bornstein; and distinguished Rotary leader and health advocate, Shirley Grace. Join us Friday morning, October 6 at the Annual District Conference to meet Olympic Gold Medalist Amanda Beard and an all-star panel of women from the western US for a very special session: "Empowering Girls: A Call to Action - Providing Hope." Offering personal stories and recommendations, the presenters will share practical resources and opportunities addressing leadership, personal hygiene, mental health and advocacy.
As is our custom, we wish to honor those District 5500 Rotarians who have passed away this last year (since September 2022) by commemorating them in our In Memoriam presentation at the 2023 Conference of Clubs (CoC), October 6-7. Please have your Club Secretary, Membership Chair, or other Club Officer send a photo or two and a brief (20 words or so) narrative about the individual to the CoC Chair at leo@lawrenson.com. Thank you!
