Peace and conflict resolution is the theme for the Rotary Anniversary Month.  Feb 23 is Rotary’s Anniversary. Shall we celebrate by inviting someone to join us? It is the privilege and duty of every Rotarian to share Rotary. Membership is still priority one.

PETS is February 24-25 in Mesa at the Hilton. Your President Elect and President Nominee will have a great training. DGE Joe Hentges and DGN Kirk Reed are anxious to work with their Presidents to make District 5500 better than ever. Clubs should have selected the President Nominee and designate to serve
2018-2019 and 2019-2020. Having the leadership selected enhances planning.

Changing leadership refreshes the club. It gives newer members a chance to build their skills and resume.  Share the workload. There is more than one person in every club who is capable of being president.  It is true that in small clubs you may need to serve more than once. There are two Past District Governors who are also their clubs President Elect. They understand that Club President is the best job in Rotary.

The year is half over. I am pleased with the growth we have seen in the clubs. Now to retain our members. An idea! Have you invited a Rotaract to visit your club? They are eligible to belong to both a Rotary club and a Rotaract club. Welcome them as a visiting Rotarian.

The Centennial of the Rotary Foundation is in full swing. Have you donated $26.50, $265.00 or $2650 to commemorate the first donation to the foundation? Does everyone in your club donate? Do you participate in Grants and projects?

We have 108 signed up to go to Atlanta. Join us. It will be a celebration.

Remember to celebrate your accomplishments and thank your club members for their work.  Thank you for serving humanity in your community.
